Arranging your Italian event with “I DO! ITALIA” means that you will have just one point of contact. A wedding can be very complicated when there are a number of suppliers involved, from legal authorities to flowers. So much time can be wasted on research and phone calls, never mind coping with language and cultural barriers. With “I DO! ITALIA” you can just give us your brief and then we will offer you a basic proposal as outlined below.
Once you have decided to proceed we would ask you sign a contract and make a non refundable deposit (usually 25%), this would, for the most part, be for the cost of your chosen venue and the reception itself. From this point onwards you can then proceed to add other services and really begin to personalise your special day. Every time you request an additional element to your event we will give you a full quotation up front (there are NO hidden extras) leaving you in control of your budget at all times.
We do not book any service until we receive a deposit payment or full payment if less than 60 days.
We strongly advise you to take an additional wedding insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances or changes in your plans.
As we are on site in this unique location and not attached to any particular suppliers, you can be guaranteed that you will receive the best value for money, as well as impartiality, in our selection of services. Even when taking into consideration our service fee, your event will be more cost effective when working through us, as we are a locally based, respected company.
Our service fee for setting up and continually managing your event from start to finish, is an additional 15% of the total price of all third party vendor reservations made for the client(s). e.g. venue, transport, photographers, flowers, trips, music, children‘s entertainer, fireworks, spa treatments, etc.
Hotel reservations are made as a courtesy to your guests and incur no extra cost. We exclude hotel costs from our service fee of 15% as this is one rate that is variable and is therefore negotiated on an individual event basis. Time of year, duration of stay and number of guests are all factors ensuring the best deals for you and your party. On occasion we use the hotel price list with no alteration as sometimes guests pay for their own accommodation on an individual basis, negotiating this can be complicated. Where we can procure a favourable group rate we will pass this on and discuss payment possibilities at the time of reservation.
We advise that whenever possible you advise your guests of their hotel choices 6 months prior to your function as this will be of benefit to them in relation to the final cost. They will also be able to procure the best flight deals if they book as soon as possible.
Pre-wedding visits to the region are charged on a daily basis at 150 euros per day. This includes transfers to and from Bergamo airport, transport for viewing the region with of course Mandy and/or Loretta to accompany you, and a selection of viewings of the best choice of venues and suppliers to match your brief. You will have a full tour of this magnificent region. Flights, accommodation and meals are all extra, but full assistance will be given to procure the best deals for you.
Two nights/three days is usually plenty of time to feel elated that you have chosen us and the right destination for your dream event.

Advanced booking of all wedding services and reconfirmation of them prior to the event.

Assistance with additional event programme for guests e.g. visits to places of local interest, boat trips.
Amount due for first deposit: 25% of total reservations made, along with a signed agreement.
Amount due 180 days prior to the event: 25% of total reservations made, or 50% if reservations are made within this time period.
Amount due 60 days prior to the event: 50% of the total reservations made or 100% if the reservations are made within this period.
Prices can be quoted in sterling and in euros
All payments are subject to loss in the event of a cancellation. In this unlikely event we will work with our suppliers to maximise the refund according to supplier’s various cancellation policies. Cancellation of an event within 30 days can lead to full loss of payment. Whilst “I DO! ITALIA” will do all we can to assist you, we must once again advise you that additional wedding insurance to cover any changes in your plans is highly recommended. In the event of cancellation, hotels can find themselves empty or near empty with no way to recoup the loss, as such hotel cancellation policies can be quite tough.
I DO! ITALIA cannot be held responsible for events or situations beyond its direct and effective control. Without limitation the following are factors beyond our direct control: bad weather, natural disasters, heavy traffic, accidents, labour disputes, strikes, civil disorder, failure of third party service providers to perform to the client’s satisfaction and/or issues/misunderstandings caused by misinformation from third party service provider employees.
